A strong candidate without a degree may still qualify if they have proven marketplace, retail, social commerce, or digital growth experience.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years in marketing, preferably in:
E-commerce, retail, marketplace platforms, fashion, FMCG, consumer goods, fintech, logistics, agency marketing, or digital sales.
Strong advantage if they have experience with:
Online marketplaces, seller onboarding, social media commerce, paid ads, influencer campaigns, product launches, customer acquisition, or brand partnerships.
Core Skills Required
The candidate should be strong in:
Digital marketing strategy, social media marketing, content planning, campaign execution, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok/Instagram marketing, SEO basics, WhatsApp marketing, email/SMS campaigns, analytics, customer segmentation, and performance reporting.
They must also understand how to convert traffic into actual sales, not just impressions and likes.
Responsibilities
1. Build and Execute the Marketing Strategy
Develop and manage the overall marketing plan for Ecomerce Platform, including launch campaigns, seller acquisition, buyer acquisition, seasonal campaigns, category promotions, and brand awareness.
They should create monthly and quarterly marketing plans with clear targets, budgets, timelines, and expected outcomes.
2. Seller Acquisition and Store Growth
Identify, approach, and onboard quality sellers, especially in high-demand categories such as fashion, beauty, electronics, home goods, food, services, and lifestyle products.
They must help position Ecomerce Platform as a serious sales channel for businesses, not just another listing site.
Responsibilities include:
Recruiting stores, explaining the value proposition, supporting onboarding campaigns, coordinating with admin teams, and helping sellers improve their listings, images, offers, and promotions.
3. Buyer Acquisition and Traffic Growth
Drive customer traffic to the Ecomerce Platform through social media, paid advertising, influencer partnerships, SEO, local campaigns, WhatsApp campaigns, referral programs, and community marketing.
The manager must focus on actual buyer behavior: visits, product views, inquiries, orders, repeat purchases, and conversion rates.
4. Brand Positioning
Build the Ecomerce Platform as a trusted, premium, convenient marketplace brand.
The messaging should communicate:
Quality sellers, trusted payments, local discovery, convenience, delivery support, secure shopping, seller accountability, and a better shopping experience.
5. Campaign Management
Plan and run campaigns for:
New store launches, product drops, discounts, holidays, back-to-school offers, fashion campaigns, local shopping events, flash sales, and category promotions.
They should coordinate creatives, copy, offers, timelines, channels, and performance tracking.
6. Social Media and Content Leadership
Own the content calendar across key platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Google Business.
They should supervise or create:
Product highlights, seller spotlights, customer stories, short videos, promotional posts, campaign banners, WhatsApp status creatives, and marketplace education content.
Content must sell. Pretty posts without conversion are useless.
7. Performance Marketing and Analytics
Track campaign results and report clearly on:
Traffic, click-through rates, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, conversion rates, seller sign-ups, active stores, active products, sales generated, repeat buyers, and return on ad spend.
8. Partnerships and Business Development Support
Create partnerships with:
Local businesses, influencers, delivery providers, fashion brands, malls, institutions, event organizers, photographers, content creators, and community groups.
The goal is to make the Ecomerce Platform visible, trusted, and commercially active.
9. Seller Marketing Support
Work with sellers to improve product visibility and sales.
This includes advising sellers on:
Product photos, pricing, discounts, product descriptions, social sharing, campaign participation, customer response speed, and store presentation.
10. Customer Trust and Reputation
Support trust-building through:
Customer feedback, reviews, testimonials, complaint monitoring, delivery experience feedback, and public communication.
